As a keen water sports enthusiast, enjoying swimming, water skiing, wake boarding and knee boarding for many years, it was only natural that I would introduce my daughter to swimming lessons from 8 weeks old, knowing the benefits of learning to swim and gaining confidence in the water at such a young age.
Every week Ava and I would head off for swimming and the benefits were clear to see and I was thrilled with how she took to it and progressed. Ava had a brilliant time at her swimming lessons. She enjoyed being in the water and it was a very rewarding time for the both of us. At 3 ½ she could swim 10 metres, without buoyancy aids, on the surface.
I loved the swimming lessons so much that I soon realised I needed to take a new direction and decided to train as a swim instructor.
I am enthusiastic and will take great pleasure teaching you and your little one, whatever the starting point. I believe that learning to feel at home in the water is the key to gaining water confidence and will always spend time making sure you or your child are comfortable before moving on to teaching the next skill.
I am highly qualified and know how to engage with little ones and parents, how to make the lessons fun, and how to put everyone at ease. I hold an enhance CRB and St Johns Ambulance First Aid certificate.
